Molten Core Raid Boost

The Molten Core is located beyond Blackrock Depths in the deepest part of Blackrock Mountain. It is the home of Ragnaros the Firelord-one of the four elemental lieutenants of the Old Gods--and his elemental minions. Molten Core is a 40-man raid instance.

All Molten Core bosses up to Golemagg drop pieces of the Tier 1 Raid Set while the trash will drop bracers and belts for tier 1. Ragnaros drops the leg pieces only of the Tier 2 Raid Set. Molten Core is also home to two legendaries: Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker is forged from the three main pieces found in Molten Core, along with Elementium Ore found in Blackwing Lair. Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros is created from the fusion of Ragnaros' rare drop, Eye of Sulfuras, and the crafted Sulfuron Hammer. Crafting a Sulfuron Hammer requires eight Sulfuron Ingot from Golemagg, along with many other materials.
