The game New World is built like a sandbox, the whole game is tied to crafting. Any activity in the game requires certain resources. To obtain high-level items, leveling of Crafting and Refining Trade skills is required. But to level up your other trade skills requires an incredible amount of resources obtained with the help of gathering skills. The simplest resources will be required at every stage, regardless of the level of your crafting profession or the desired item.

There are only two ways to get resources, you can buy them for coins on a trade post, or you can get them yourself, thereby leveling your gathering skill.
